Protect your operating margins — with no cost to your business.

Renewable Power Partners offers lower electricity prices to Ontario business ratepayers and commercial properties.

We accomplish this by installing solar or battery storage facilities at your property, which we maintain at our expense. There is no setup cost — you pay only the lower rate.

To date, our projects have added 2 square kilometers of solar to the grid, with over $140 million in energy infrastructure currently operating.

Our commitment is to be a reliable partner, making the process easy for property owners, and operating with integrity, efficiency, and professionalism. We manage the installation from end to end, leaving your team to focus on growing your business.

Solar Rate Guarantee Plan

We install and maintain solar equipment to serve your commercial property. There is no cost — you buy electricity at a fixed, lower rate.

By locking in your electricity rate at a discount over today’s prices, your firm is protected from inflation. Electricity prices have risen by 6% annually since 1970 in Ontario and similar US markets.

Battery Optimized Rate Plan

Our battery equipment connects to the local utility at your location, optimizing the connection and providing services to the local utility. We reinforce the grid during peak hours, and shift loads overnight.

We supply your business electricity at a discount over prevailing rates, saving you money each year.

Installing batteries nearby where the electricity is used avoids large transmission upgrade costs, and allows the power grid to use cleaner energy. Ontario’s electricity grid needs more peak capacity, and batteries are a cost-effective way to achieve this — while accommodating clean energy.

Solar generation also helps meet Ontario’s grid capacity concerns, as it is generated during peak hours at the location where electricity is used. This reduces the need for very costly transmission upgrades.

Maintenance won’t impact your new, guaranteed low rates. Your electricity service remains reliable, as the solar or battery equipment be bypassed for maintenance. (Our batteries can also provide hours of facility-wide backup power.) We install equipment and we’re responsible for the performance of the equipment and for generating a fixed rate of savings for our partners.

Electricity sales is a regulated industry and we comply with a long list of approvals, inspections, and standards for installation and operations, so you can rest assured in a quality installation following best practices.

At the end of the term, we are required to remove all equipment, mounts, any concrete pad, and power cables. We are required to set aside money in a special reserve fund provides for this.

The system is monitored and metered remotely, so no onsite staff is required. We inspect the equipment regularly and perform preventive maintenance as needed. Equipment is installed outdoors, and we provide advance notice of any site visits. Inspection and maintenance is performed by a licensed and insured electrical contractor.

We are an efficient and experienced developer and have prepared a customer-focused model which provides the benefits of battery storage and solar without the hassle, maintenance, expense, or financial risk. We are able to process the significant permitting paperwork in bulk, which is less painful than undertaking this task for a single project.

No. If your property taxes ever change due to the equipment, we are obligated in the lease to pay any additional property taxes, and we arrange for a separate tax bill for the additional charges to be sent directly to us.
